“The Kite Runner”
2008
Director: Marc Forster
PG-13
Actors: Khalid Abdalla, Ahmad Khan Mahmoodzada, Atossa Leoni
The Kite Runner is a story about a friendship between two young boys in Afghanistan in the 70’s. However, the movie also focuses on the relationship of father and son, along with what the country is going through at those times. The story has his turns and twist, something I was not expecting much of in this movie. Spoiler alert, there is a scene that got me angry however it was a good for the storyline as well. One of the young boys gets raped by a teenager, although of course they do not show it but it still gets you angry. This point of the movie is what I believe changes the tone of the movie. One of my favorite scenes would be the ones with the young boys fly the kite. Don’t let the title full you, this movie is not about kites. Overall the movie was very good, I would definitely recommend this movie if you have not yet seen it.
*I will be updating more reviews, I will also be improving on my reviews. Hahaha...
