Annenberg Space for Photography
Ever since I heard about this place I try to go to every exhibit. I love this place and as a photographer I get inspired every time, no matter what the exhibit is about. The exhibit currently playing at the moment is “The Power of Photography: National Geographic 125 years”. Enough said just with the name, some of the best photos on display. For this exhibit they are displaying most of their work on screens, switching every certain amount of time. The exhibit features 501 images. To view each image you would have to stay their hours, every time you turn to look at the direction you came from a new image is on the screen. For this exhibit photos were printed as wallpapers and put up on the walls throughout the space. The exhibit wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t for documentary that is always feature in the center of the space in two huge screens. The documentary for this exhibit shows six photographers talking about their work and their passion. In this exhibit you will see a little of everything. It is not to be missed. Great for the whole family! Exhibit ends April 27th.
The next exhibit is Country: Portraits of an American Sound. May 31 – September 28
